Workout Buddies

I was thinking of having a BYOM BBQ. I thought it might be fun to do it at lunch time and let the kids play. We could divy out the other sides and just get together and have fun. Anyone interested?? Also anyone interested in getting together 3 times a week to workout? We could share workout videos and let the kids play?? I am never going to make it to the gym and it is always easier with a buddy.

Stamp Workshop is Here Again!

Yay! It's time again for a Stamp Workshop! I put the detailed post up on my blog, My {K}raft {K}orner, but wanted to give a sneek peak at the fun here as well!

Head Count

Girl's Night Out is coming up on Thursday! Yay! A Break! So I'm looking to find out how many people are going! So please leave a comment if you are. We can't make a reservation but if we have a large enough group, we'll want to call ahead and give them some warning! :-)

Book Club!

Holy smokes! I just realized that I never posted our new book! Ha:) So sorry! It just came to me as I was thinking . . . "I wonder when we should go see the movie for our book... Oh wait! No one knows we're reading it!". . . Ouch. Sorry! I guess this will give those who were there an extra bit to read it, and those who weren't you never knew!
Angie Orison chose our book for this month! We will be reading "He's Just Not That Into You The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys", by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. And then for our club when we are done next month, we're going to go see the movie! {As a side note, we are trying to hit all kinds of genre's to experience new things out there and see what there is. If it's not your type of book one month, it might be the next. And who knows? You might like something you never thought you would! So come and try! And you don't have to buy the books... go to the library!} I realize we're all married now, but we've all dated before:)
Next month we'll post a poll for showtimes! {It might be out to rent by then, and we could just watch it at someone's house...we'll see!}

Okay, so I don't know if the poll was working as I have been told by some that they had voted but nothing showed up. So, if you are planning on going to the night out, leave a comment what time- 6pm, 6:30pm or 7pm? Thanks

April Night out

Okay, it looks like Thursday April 23 won for the night out. Since I didn't have any other suggestions for a place, we are going to The Pizza Factory over on Antelope Dr. I have a poll up for the times. I hope a lot of people can make it. Please, everyone, invite a friend that's not on the blog too. It'll be fun!

Night Out

I'll do the night out for April but I'm going to set it up for times I can go, since I haven't been able to make any of the others. I put polls up on the side for week and day. Please, try to avoid the 22nd. That's my sons birthday so I definitely won't be going out that night. I can remove the polls too, if you are just wanting me to pick a day. I haven't decided on places yet, but I would like to try the Pizza Factory over on Antelope, if it's any good. Any other suggestions?

I just had to thank you again for the fun on Saturday. I loved being out of the house for a few minutes and it was such a fun project. Jill hasn't been stuck in a room with me in a long time - it was way over due!!!

It was nice to meet you Angie and you too Tana (again - sorry about that!!!) You should come over and visit a few times so I can cement you in my head. The funny thing is that Sam had seen you sitting by Nicole at the stake meeting last Thursday and he wanted me to tell him who was serving with Nicole - I had no idea. So I described you to him yesterday and he said "Oh, that's the sister I saw with Nicole". So you just keep crossing our paths and we'll get your name and face put together soon. Why won't they put pictures up on the website so I can study - there isn't a test anyway, they just keep mixing up the auxiliary positions until everyone has served with everyone. The plus side is that you're only trying to think nice things about people so that deletes most of my first (and second) impressions anyway!

Jessica, I'm pretty open the last two weeks of April right now, so whatever you decide I'll try and make it! I'm looking forward to the visit time. If I invite the sisters I visit teach does that count as visiting them??????

Sam pointed out that my basket handle didn't look like yours and I said "I was being creative!" He only came up with "Oh!" - I told him he needed to try for "I like yours much better. So creative. So talented." I still have teaching to do I guess!! ;-)

Dinner

I was going to post the polls for dinner next month but wanted to make sure people are still interested. We have people voting on stuff but not saying they are going. I just wanted to make sure people are still interested.

My First Workshop!

It's right around the corner! :) My 1st workshop will be held at my house on March 21st @ 2pm! These are a couple pictures of what we will be making. Each person will get one mini Easter card and 1 Easter treat basket! There will be a variety of colors and designs for you to choose from. {and remember for this 1st workshop only these projects will be free!} However, I do need to have a count of who will be coming so I can have everything prepared, so please let me know by the 17th if you will be coming! Thanks!

March night out!

So I've decided I am going tonight. I have been stuck at home with sick kids for over a week. I need a break (Even though it means saddling the sick kids with Dan two days before he has a trip). I'm going to be stuck with them for the week he is gone, so I've made an executive decision and if he doesn't like it...I hope he'll forgive me:-) Post if you are going tonight and I'll call and make a reservation.

LAZY BUMS!!!

So five of you voted to the place that won. One of you needs to be in charge of seeing how many people are going so you can get a table. I wish I could go but I will have to make it next month. I hope Steve is in town then!!! Oh how I hate the travel. I am still planning on lunch on Saturday just to let everyone know. I will need some me time by then. I don't know how people deal with hubbys gone for months. A week is about all I can handle.

Tepanyaki Coupon

I noticed that Tepanyaki won the polls for our night out. In the HomeTown Values coupon book that comes in the mail there is a "Buy one dinner and get the second dinner half off" coupon. So if you ladies want to team up you might be able to save a little money. I wont be able to go (so sad, I love sushi!), but I can give my coupon to who ever wants it. Just let me know.

Beehive Cheese Factory Tour

I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in touring our local cheese factory...Beehive Cheese Co. It's right there at the mouth of Weber Canyon.

They teach you how to make your own cheese, and about aging and of course the tastings!!!


I had a friend go with a home school group and said it was fantastic and amazing. All we have to do is call and let them know how many are coming and they'll take care of the rest. I have a small group going so let me know if you want to join us!!
