Labor Anyone?

Okay so apparently different people think I have already had this baby, I can assure you I have NOT! They are taking him via c-section (like my other 2) on Nov.8th at Davis Hospital. I am however more miserable with this baby then I have ever been. So that being said ... does anyone know some good ways to start labor? Please let me know! :) I want this lil boy outta me asap!

I wish I could tell you! I tried everything with both of mine...even had the doctor strip my membranes, and went to a neighbors and jumped on the trampoline with the last one! This was after going into early labor at 31-32 weeks! Didn't work...was still induced about a week later. Go figure! (She's the most stubborn child you'll ever meet too...and bossy!) Good luck!

In case I worded that wrong...I didn't have him strip my membranes at 31-32 weeks...I was about 38 weeks.

Everyone but Melissa cover your ears. S.E.X. certain things...uh hum...soften the membranes to help you dilate. As long as the hubby can handle it. lol But all in all if he really isn't ready, nothing will help. But worth trying right?!

Okay that brings me to the question..beware sexual content..is it the orgasm, the mans ejacutaltion..or the just all around act of sex that puts one into labor? :)

***Warning*** May get a bit descriptive......

The orgasm will start contractions. That's what an orgasm is. But if your body's not ready it won't do anything but just hurt. The....sperm...is what softens the cervix. I have the opposite problem. We must stay away from those above mentioned things to keep the babies in long enough. lol

This blog is seeing some unusual excitement! Melissa, I am one who keeps asking if you have had that baby yet. I just found out I'm your V.T. and instead of bugging you, I've been asking everyone around me!! So on that note, do you want me to come take Kaplan for a few hours? We are all pretty healthy around here at the moment and Toby would love a friend. Just let me know and I'll be at your doorstep so you can go take a nap...or the other thing Sharida mentioned! I will probably wait until well after that little babe comes before actually knocking on your door for the real visiting teaching. So until then, consider yourself visit taught. Just kidding.

Ha Jacque your so funny. I'm for sure going to take you up on that offer, Kaplan loves playing with friends! Thank you so much I will let you know when I just can't take it anymore! :)

I love Kaplan. He is one of my favorites. You know we are always open for a Kaplan date. Unless someone is throwing up you know. Good luck. I have tried all kinds of things and nobody ever came out unless I was induced. Just a few more days lady. Remember they are much more work when they come out than they are inside.

OK, so if your doctor is OK with delivering early... the "Big O" can help instigate some contractions... If you go to the hospital with contractions, they will call your doctor and your doctor will decide if he needs to perform the C-section early. Without contractions, the hospital probably won't even make the phone call. My doctor actually gave me the routine so I could have the baby 10 days early instead of 7 and he was ready to come in as soon as the hospital called him.

I'm late to the conversation, but I was going to say the same thing that sah been said. I have also been told, but never tried it, to rub between your big toe and next toe on the foot, that is supposidly a pressure point that can start labor. Good luck girly-girl!

oh ya, go get a pedicure and tell them you want to go into labor. Ask for someone who knows massage and she can put you into labor!
