Feb night out date

Ok, it looks like the fourth week won the poll. I'm going to be out of town that week, so pardon my absence. If you wouldn't mind voting on the day of the week that is best for you that would be great.

I also want to post a poll for the place but I haven't got any suggestions yet about where to go. I would put up my favorites but that wouldn't be fair, since I am not going to be there. So please post where you would like to go in the comments of this post. I will get a poll going as soon as I get at least two suggestions.

Also one minor note is that book club is this Thursday night at my house. Please let everyone know that they are welcome to come. Margie if you wouldn't mind helping me call the regulars that would be great. I'll call Vanessa Hansen and Cassidy Mellor if you wouldn't mind calling the others. Please everybody who can and wants to come...come. It really will be fun I promise. It's always hard to get yourself out the door, but it is always worth it to do some socializing.

Baby Girl Stuff

My neice and her baby are in need of some help. Their apartment building burned down last week in Provo. She lost everything in the fire and didn't have renters insurance. If anyone has baby girl clothes (11 lbs - 2 mo. old) especially onsies and warm winter clothing, that you'd be willing to part with please contact me and I'll come and get them from you. If you have extra clothes in the closet that you're done with my neice wears a size 8 pants and a medium or large shirt size.

Book club for real this time!

So book club will be in February. We are still on the book "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands", it is a book by Dr. Laura. It's an interesting read and I have the version "The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriages". If anyone wants to borrow it you are more than welcome. It will be at my house February 5th at 8:00. Please let me know if you can come. I will make Banana Bread (that was for you Liz). Like I said before, you don't have to read the book, just come if you like to chat. This meeting we will most likely just talk about marriages and husbands. I might dump on the book a little (she is super anti-feminist, and I'm well...not). It'll be fun!

Stampin' Fun!

Hey girlies! I wanted to find out if anyone one of you wonderful women would be interested in a Stamp Club?? I know we are all so busy with so many things {including our book club}, so I totally understand if no one is...... I should probably give some background though, huh? :)
I have been doing Stampin' Up! clubs for almost 3 years now and I am going to start doing them myself {meaning I am going to be a demonstrator on my own}. Stampin' Up! is a company that sells stamps, paper, ribbon, craft elements, ink, and all the like to create your own handmade projects. I absolutely love making cards, scrapbooking, and all sorts of fun crafty things! So I wanted to do a club at my home with some friends, and I thought I'd see if any of you would be interested???
In the club, you would have to spend $15.00/month toward items for yourself {to begin your amazing collection of stamp stuff}, so it needs to be something you would really have an interest in. We also make 2 cards {or sometimes something extra special} each club, which I supply. We have treats, visit, create things, and have a blast! I would hold them on a Saturday around 10am once a month, and they usually go an hour and a half to two hours {depending on how fast we complete our projects or how long we like to talk:)}
So, anyhoo... that's about the synopsis... so if anyone would be interested or has questions, let me know!! Thanks! :)

Feb night out

Ok Sharida I can take a hint. I am posting a survey and please vote on when you would like to go. I might be gone near the end of the month. We made it!!!

I have officially survived 37 weeks and 1 day of being with child. I am so glad I am not an elephant. You know they are prego for like 2 years or something horrid like that!!! Anyways, we are doing good. She is a bit small and having some minor troubles that I hope will work out in the next few days. I am so glad it is over. On to the sleepless nights!!!!

Girls Night Out Reminder

Margie and I talked to a few people and it looks like nobody will be able to make it to book club. So it is officially cancelled for this month. We will try and reboot for next month. Please let us know if you are interested in doing a neighborhood book club. It is hard to get it going if only two people are trying at it.

Want a Piano??

Me and my husband bought this piano last year with our tax returns because he plays so well and I wanted him to be able to practice to keep his talent but with him having a full time job and being a full time student he just has no time to play....EVER! lol so we are selling it. It is an electric piano (not a keyboard) which is kinda nice because you can contorl your volume or even use headphones if you want. And if you have little kids who like to bang on it then you can turn it off or unplug it. Love that! So anyway, if you or anyone you know is looking for one it is listed on KSL. New and fun things

Hey Sharida, why isn't there a link on this blog to your sweet hubby's photography blog. It looks awesome by the way. I also know that there are some people in the neighborhood who cut hair, but I keep forgetting who they are. If anyone reading this cuts hair, please comment and tell me who you are. Successful Mothering Conference

I went to this conference in the past and it was great. I got tons of free stuff and gathered some really great information. For $10 I think it is a great deal. I thought someone else might like to go.

Baby shower and books?

Ok, so I just got an invitation to a baby shower that is this Thursday for Cassidy. We will just cancel book club this week. If any of you want to do it next thursday let me know. If not we can just plan it for next month in February. So everybody you have more time to read the book if you like ( you don't have to read the book to come, it's more about just gettting together).

New Favorite thing

I try to make photo books every year for the kids. I never ever print anything out so it is my way of having a hard copy of their pictures. Anyways, I found out this year that Costco has partnered with a service called MY Publisher. You download a program on your computer that has all the templates you need. Then you can choose which photos you want to use without uploading everything. It is really fast!! So I just got my first book I ordered and it looks great. If anyone is interested and wants to see one before they order let me know. I think this is the easiest and cheapest way to make one of these.

Book Club?

So the first thursday in January was new years day. Um did we want to do the second thursday in January? I'm still willing to host. The book is still "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands". Also does anyone know if there is a baby shower for Cassidy Mellor this month? Let me know what you all think.
