SUSHI!

Alright Ladies. So in a couple of weeks it's my birthday (and I am expecting presents LOL;-). But I want to learn how to make sushi for my birthday. I have no idea where to go, what to look for, anything. Please help me!

I wish I knew more about it too. I saw something online at walmart once....let me see if I can still find it.....

I don't know if it's any good. I've wanted to try it but I buy enough stuff right now. :-)

The rolling mat is definitely essential to make sushi! (We have 2) everything else though is NICE to have and that's a great price on it!! It gives it the authentic sushi experience feel! :)

Do you know what kind of sushi you like? We get our fish at Aquaris Fish Market in Salt Lake (that's where Shogun and Takashi's buy their fish). It's SOOOO much cheaper to make it yourself and buy your own fish! My recommendations on types of fish to use are Salmon, Ahi Tuna & Yellowtail. Of course we always have to get some fresh scallops too.

The other key ingredient to great sushi other than fresh fish is the rice!!! It's taken us 7 years to perfect our rice recipe and now we finally have it down.

We need to have a couples sushi night on a Friday night or whenever! Then we can all learn to make and EAT great sushi!! Anyone else interested?

I know my husband would just LOVE a sushi night! I'm not a big fish person...I mostly just eat vegetable rolls but I try the fish every now and then. I just can't eat much more than one or two! :-)
