Preschools

I need a preschool for NIles next year. I was going to send him to one in Woods Cross but it raised the price and I can't make myself do it!! I really want a certified teacher and someone that will teach him things other than reading and writing and all that stuff. Anyone....

Christopher goes to Forever Young in Layton on Mutton Hollow. He loves it. His teacher is a retired Kindergarten teacher of 20 years. Her husband helps her and they have their reading, writing along with music and science. Christopher loves the science because Mr Young puts on a white lab coat and they do all sorts of experiments. They do about 4 field trips a year and have a couple programs for the parents to come watch. We've really been impressed with them.

I've never done preschool before. I need to for Hannah next year. Do we really need to start finding the school and getting enrolled now? Wow I didn't know you had to start this soon.

Oh Yes, Definitely Now! I got stuck at the 1:15-3:15 for Christopher this year because I started asking about it in April (when I thought was a good time) and they already had huge waiting lists. Christopher's preschool has already sent out info for next year and it already starting the waiting list game. The preschool I'm putting Mason in next year should be sending her stuff out at the end of this month. I'm opting for a closer preschool for Mason. Instead of 15 min away it's only 3. Liz Hansen in the ward also teaches preschool.

Most start to register in Jan or Feb for next Sept. I know it is a bit silly, I mean it is preschool right?? I found one in Syracruse I am going to call about. I will let you know how that goes. Where is Mason going?

In the neighborhood behind Sand Springs Elementary is the preschool my cousin's and my friends kids go to. It's called Inch by Inch. There are a couple different teachers who all have their teaching degrees. They go on field trips and she is absolutely darling with the kids. The make tons of fun crafts too! So we're going to try her next year for Mason.

Can you guys post links to those preschools websites. I am cringing just thinking about it, but I guess I have no choice. Hannah needs preschool.

If you'll send me your e-mail address I'll send you a link to my preschool, ABC Come Learn With Me. It's by invite only so that parents can check out what the kids do, but it's not open to the public. I haven't done a business website yet - no time!!!

I'll give you a sneek peek if want one though!!

You could also ask Sharla Carlson where she sends Braelyn. I know he has loved it this year. I think you look and ask around until you find one that your child loves or at least one that fits her personality.

I'm a stay at home mom. I've been doing preschool for 8 years and love it. Next year I'll teach Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 - 11 am. I charge $50.00/month. I'm located across from the Stake Center on Katie's Way.

We do practice letters, numbers, alphabet, colors and shapes - but I'm more interested in the children learning to share, take turns, invite others to play with them and use their imagination.

I don't do any field trips (insurance is too high), but I have a large backyard that's fenced in, we play outside when the weather permits, cook when we can, make tons of fun projects and build friendships for kindergarten or at least skills to make new friends wherever they go.

You can e-mail me at hansensamuelm1@msn.com or call me 773-7183 (warning: I never answer the phone - that's when the kids find the toilet paper rolls, flour and anything else that can seep in, coat or smear, so leave a message and I'll call you back as soon as I can.)

I can also give you the names of other preschool mom's and you can ask them about me, my personality and preschool to see if it would be a fit for you and your child.
